When you join one of our trips, we want you to have peace of mind. In response to COVID-19, we’ve:
Follow your nose through the streets of Paris to secret gardens bursting with blooms, antique fragrance houses, and cozy patisseries. On this three-day trip designed by Atlas Obscura and Tastemade, you’ll trace the history of French floriculture from centuries-old botanical traditions to contemporary foraging practices and urban flower farms. Wander through private gardens, harvest your own stems, and enjoy a wild plant picnic on a hill overlooking the city—all while taking in the sights, smells, and tastes of la vie végétal.
Accommodations are not included in the cost of this trip, but there’s a variety of wonderful hotel, bed and breakfast, and homestay options available in Paris. Our guide recommends staying in the 5th, 11th, and 20th arrondissements, and is happy to provide recommendations for specific hotels in the area.?
Travelers should feel comfortable walking two to four miles over the course of each day, spending time in nature, remaining on their feet for long periods of time, and sometimes walking on uneven terrain.
The food on this trip will be predominantly vegetarian and plant-forward. Most dietary restrictions can be accommodated, though in many cases ingredients can't be substituted or omitted from particular dishes. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us to find out if this is the right trip for you.
This trip supports local, women-owned floriculture businesses and sustainable French flower production.
